I am a small manufacturer of my own invention. I have a stainless steel clip that goes onto a peice of nylon webbing. The stainless steel clip stays the same as it is stamped out of stainless steel, but the webbing gets larger or smaller. I need to remove between .01-.03" off an edge about 1/2" long and 1/16" thick and have that edge rounded when done. I am not a machinest but am pretty handy. Most of all I know what I want the outcome to be.
I have tried sanding, dremmiling, filing but I am left with a sharp edge. I have been looking at purchasing a mini mill. Unless I can find a concave needle file i think the mini mill is my last alternative. Do they make a tool that will cut a cove as it takes the edge down?
What is the best mini mill to get complete with vise holddown and tools? How hard is it to set up and use? Anyone in southern NJ to help as a consultant?
