This is picture shows the proper configuration for 16 tpi.
This works on the machine we have here.

I was set on the outside engageing the 120gear. That is for the metric only. Thanks Don, I owe you one! I realy am a newbe. Ron

Yep, thats what we were doing also, the e-mail I got from the manufacturer helped jog the old brain cells 
I did not notice the spacer on the bottom shaft either, it is / was sticky coming off

| What got me was the 120 gear on the outside. I figured they wanted it on there for a reason so I used it. The more I look at the pick, it does show it on the inside. Thanks again. Ron

Ron,
The 120 is on the outside, but out of the gear train, I think you have to have 1 on there to act as a "spacer". the only mesh in the change gears is 45~127~40

hello to all,Ive had my 11x26 for about 9 months and Ive had threading problems also but finding and joining this site has just answered my question! Thanks guys. Also is there a collet chuck available for this lathe

It looks like we will be getting some collet chucks! IIRC, it is a 5" x 5C, we won't see them fro several months though....
