how about adding a link to this forum from the wttool.com main page ? i went there hoping to find a link to the forum and didnt see one. howcome no wttool forum link?
a link from there would help you guys in 2 big ways,
1. it'll increase forum traffic and participation here, which in turn will garuntee repeat customers as they feel that they are a part of your web community
and
2. if someones browsing the online catalog and has a question about a product they 9 times out of 10 look for a forum or chat link to ask their question. so it may help to increase sales as shoppers can get on the fly feedback and answers , in turn it should also lighten the customer service call load a tad.
It's funny you suggest this since it's currently in the works to add a link to the header section of our website. Before we made the forum global we want to only slightly advertise it to work the kinks. I will be adding a new forum button to the header within the next week or two.
Until then, we currently have a banner advertising the forum located on our homepage directly underneath the rotating product ads. It gets some action there but not as much as I anticipate from the header button when it's installed.
We truly hope that our customers will use this forum for all the reasons you suggest. Not only do we want to provide a place where our customers can exchange experiences but we're also very interested in hearing suggestions on how we can improve our online store to better serve them. The forum is a direct link into Wholesale Tool. If you post it here, you're posting directly to me (the ecommerce developer), our purchasing department, and our in-house tool specialist.
