Hello All, I am looking for a wiring diagram for this lathe, before we hook it to power we want to have a diagram, the person who owned it before might/did some mods and we don't want to blow it up. Any help would be appreciated. We have a copy of the Tida 4AA 45AA 5AA and that is different than the Td 1336-1340 as this one has a electronic panel on the side. THANKS. Help.....

We do not have a reference for the Tida 1336 wiring, the best advise I can offer is to start with the motor, there should be a wiring diagram on it, (check on the J-box cover) to see what voltage it is connected, then check the transformer connection to verify the voltage, if your motor is connected 220v and your transformer is connected 110, (or vise-verse) there is something amiss....
Keep in mind your motor wiring diagram is going to be for a static connection, the reverse connections will be done in the switch gear....

Thank you for your reply, when we hooked it up to 220v 1-phase, the bridge rectifier blew apart, the problem we have is the previous owner removed some wires and we think he might have the 4 wires on the rectifier in the wrong location, we actually have a manual but it doesn't have the wiring schematic. When we did out test the mag starters closed like normal and the "ON" light came on and we could hear the transformer start buzzing. We actually have the motor disconnected to take it out of the equation to test the electronics first. We were able to purchase more of the rectifiers and when we get them (5) do some more testing. We were hoping that someone will have a schematic or can take some pictures of their unit so we know we are on the right track. Our electrical guy is really sharp but not having the schematic isn't making his job very easy.. Thanks for your help. JIM

Perhaps he has it connected for 110v operation?
That would explain the transformer buzzing and the rectifier toasting...
I have not seen a Tida lathe in over 20 years, they were good machines..
