This one should do it, it has been 20 years since I saw a Td-5 lathe, so I don't know if you have the proper (original) compound slide on yours.

Thanks for the quick reply. One other question is i was wondering if there is a available somewhere a manual on the lathe or one from another lathe that would somewhat close to that model.

Stumbling across this thread (while doing a Google search) prompts me to register for this forum.  I too acquired a TD-5AH last year.  In my case, the machine was "new", in the sense of having been crated for the past 20 years, and still wearing its coat of paper and cosmoline.

The lathe sat all winter, awaiting its turn at the top of the priority list.  I've got it up on a newly built bench now, about half way through cleaning it (20 year old grease is tough!), and I think I've got the electrical system figured out with a volt/ohmmeter so I can run it on 220V.

I would be very interested in a manual; especially when it comes to info like lubrication points and schedules.  Any other info about this specific model would be gratefully received too.

Many thanks, in advance.
 John

John,
Here you go:
Operators manual:
http://www.wttool.com/common/manuals/Td4A-5A_op-manual.pdf
Parts:
http://www.wttool.com/common/manuals/TD-4_lathe.pdf
the parts manual is for the TD-4, the 4 & 5 are almost the same machines, they share a lot of parts.
As you are probably aware, Tida Manufacturing went out of business in the late 1980's, and there are no parts available for them.
